Visit a château in the morning, then return to the pool and garden table in the afternoon. This detached 154 m² house in Chitenay welcomes ten guests, around a 25-minute drive from Blois. The pool is heated from May to September and the hot tub is available all year round.

Holiday time outdoors
500 m² of private garden.
The south-facing 500 m² garden is enclosed by walls and not overlooked by neighbours. Enjoy meals on the terrace and shade beneath the trees at the hottest time of day. Spend the day swimming, reading and eating outside.
The heated pool is open from May to September. It has a safety cover with straps; we explain how to open and close it. Enjoy the hot tub all year round, including after an autumn or winter day of sightseeing.
The warmth of a home indoors
A large room for evenings with ten.
When everyone heads indoors in the evening, the living and dining room offers around 50 m² of shared space. The table seats ten, sofas surround the fireplace and board games are close at hand. Firewood is provided.
The fitted kitchen has its own dining space for six. Close to Cheverny, the Cottage is well placed for discovering Chambord, Blois and the other Loire châteaux before returning to the peace of the village.

The Cottage sleeps ten guests in three enclosed bedrooms and an open sleeping area on the landing. One bedroom is on the ground floor; the other sleeping spaces are upstairs. Check the plans to choose the arrangement that suits you.

A 160 cm queen-size bed, a single bed and a cot; private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.

The house has three bathrooms, two of them private to bedrooms. Beds are made and towels provided for your arrival.

Check-in & welcome
Enter the Cottage using a key box. Emmanuel, who looks after the house, then offers an optional meeting to show you the property, pool and hot tub. If you wish to operate the pool cover to close the pool, Emmanuel must explain how to do so beforehand.

The price of your stay
The mandatory €150 fee includes cleaning, bed linen and towels, firewood, and preparation of the hot tub and seasonal pool. The booking total depends on your dates and number of guests.
Length of stay
Generally a two-night minimum; longer stays are required over some holiday weekends and in summer.
Cancellation

A village of châteaux and invention
Chitenay was the birthplace of Denis Papin in 1647, one of the pioneers of steam power. The village also has its own château: the main building dates from around 1750, with an older 17th-century wing. This quieter heritage adds another dimension to village walks between visits to the great Loire châteaux.
